LAHORE: The High Court has granted interim bail to PML-N President Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in assets case.
LHC (The Lahore High Court) heard the bail plea of PML-N president Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in a money laundering reference.

The hearing was conducted by a two-member bench of the Lahore High Court.
Yesterday, PMLN President’s lawyer Azam Nazir Tarar had completed his arguments. NAB prosecutor Faisal Bukhari gave arguments today.
NAB Prosecutor Arguments
The NAB prosecutor said that the Ramzan Sugar Mill was inherited by the Shahbaz Sharif family and the Chaudhry Sugar Mill by the Nawaz Sharif family.
“Before 1990, the Shahbaz Sharif family had assets worth Rs 16.5 million. In 2018, these assets amounted to Rs 7.32 billion”, the NAB prosecutor added.
The NAB prosecutor argued, “Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also has 9 anonymous people in whose name assets were made.”
Mian Muhammad Shahbaz says he made a profit of Rs. 124 million, but he did not say what his business was”, the NAB prosecutor argued.
Decision of the Court
The court remarked that according to the report of the trial court, it would take at least a year to complete the trial.
The Lahore Hight Court bench said, “Even the judges of the trial court have not been appointed yet.”
The Lahore High Court granted interim bail to PML-N President in assets case.
The court also ordered Opposition leader to submit two bonds of Rs. 50 lakh each.
