PSL 7 Drafting
Neither team showed interest in the talents of David Miller, Tabriz Shamsi, and Shimron Hittmeier. Also missing are David Valley, Sandeep Lami Chane, and Cameron Delport.
The unavailability of some players for just a few days also caused a lack of interest in the franchises.
Similarly, some prominent national and domestic cricketers of Pakistan have not been able to meet the standards of franchises.
Ahmed Shehzad is also among them. His international cricket career was incomplete due to various reasons. This time also no franchise took interest in him in PSL.
Usman Shinwari and Musa Khan are also among the disappointed players.
Similarly, Zahid Mahmood, Nasir Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Sohail Khan, Junaid Khan, Akif Javed, Emad Butt, Dilbar Hussain, and Muhammad Irfan could not find a place in any team.
All of them will now sit at home and enjoy PSL matches.
It may be remembered that for PSL 7, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi have retained 8-8 players each.
Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators have retained 7-7 players.
Each franchise had to select 3-3 players in the Platinum, Diamond, and Gold categories and 5-5 players in the Silver category in the 18-member squad.
Similarly, each franchise had to select 2-2 players for the emerging category and 2-2 players for the supplementary category.
