ISLAMABAD: Price of electricity increased by Rs. 3.10 per unit: NEPRA approved an increase in power prices.

National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued notification of monthly fuel charges adjustment for December 2021.

NEPRA has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs 3.10 per unit in terms of monthly fuel charges adjustment.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs 3.10 per unit in the context of the December monthly fuel charges adjustment.

A formal notification has also been issued in this regard.

According to the notification, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested an increase of Rs 3.12 per unit, on which the authority had held a public hearing on February 1, 2022.

According to the notification, the increase in electricity prices will apply only to the bills for the month of February.

Earlier, in November, FCA customers were charged Rs 4.30 in January, which was only for 1 month.

The December FCA will be charged Rs 1.20 less in November as compared to November.

This will apply to all Discos customers except Lifeline customers, fuel price adjustment will not apply to K Electric customers either.
