ISLAMABAD: No confidence motion successful, Imran Khan is no longer Prime Minister.
The no-confidence motion filed by the United Opposition has been successful, after which Imran Khan is no longer the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
After the resignation of Speaker Asad Qaiser, Acting Speaker Ayaz Sadiq completed the voting process on the no-confidence motion.
On the orders of the Supreme Court, a meeting of the National Assembly was convened under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq at 10.30 am in which members of the opposition and the government delivered speeches.
Speaker Asad Qaiser Resigns
The meeting, which started at 10 am, took a dramatic turn when Speaker Asad Qaiser briefly chaired the meeting for the fifth time after meeting the Prime Minister.
Speaker Asad Qaiser announced his resignation at around 11:30 pm, then he requested Ayaz Sadiq to continue the proceedings of the House.
After the resignation of Asad Qaiser, members of the government chanted slogans against the United States and the opposition and walked out of the house in protest.

As soon as Ayaz Sadiq took over the Speaker’s seat, he announced to continue the action on the no-confidence motion filed by the Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif.
The meeting was adjourned for four minutes, after which the meeting resumed with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an at the beginning of the new day.
A no-confidence vote was then instituted, with members casting their ballots in turn.
174 votes were cast in support of the no-confidence motion, after which Imran Khan did not remain the Prime Minister of Pakistan while deviant members of PTI did not cast their votes in the no-confidence motion.
No confidence motion successful:
The Acting Speaker said after completing the voting process that 174 members had voted in favor of the no-confidence motion. The no-confidence motion of the opposition was successful.
He said that today all the leaders of the opposition parties are present here and we are all feeling the absence of Nawaz Sharif very much.
