Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that minorities in the country are equal citizens and protection of minorities is the responsibility of the state.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa also said that the youth should pay full attention to their professional responsibilities and training.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that minorities in Pakistan are equal citizens and protection of minorities is the responsibility of the state.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Nagarparkar where he spent a busy day with the troops and was briefed by the local commander on the operational readiness of the formation.
In his address to the troops on the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that they should pay full attention to their professional responsibilities and training. With better training, any challenge can be effectively answered.
Besides, the Army Chief also met the local Hindu community and said that all minorities are equal citizens of Pakistan and protection of minorities is the responsibility of the state.
He said the Hindu community acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to provide a safe environment for minorities.
The Army Chief reiterated his commitment that the Hindu community would continue to play its role in the development and stability of the country.
