The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested an increase of Rs 6.10 per unit in electricity prices in terms of monthly fuel adjustment.

Chairman NEPRA asked why LNG was used less in January while diesel and furnace oil were used more. Officials responded that the availability of LNG was far less than the demand.
